New Stuff Posted

June 16, 2025 3:51 am

I have posted some new necklaces to the goodies page and the online store. Check them out!

I want to reiterate that while I do have alot of things ready to ship I am ALWAYS available for commissions. I love working with clients to make jewelry pieces just for them. I also love surprises, creating things for people to give to loved ones as gifts.

If you have any questions head over to the contact page and hit me up!

Love you.

Mosey on over to the Available Goodies page to see what's currently available on the store! Each item has a link to view it directly in the store. I will keep this updated as listings change.

That was weird

April 16, 2025 5:35 am

Somehow half my site was deleted. I'm not saying it's my fault, but it I'm also not saying it's not my fault. At least I was smart enough to make a backup on April 10th. I know that was the date because I dated the folder. (Because of course I did.)

Anyway, I was working on building some tools and things and suddenly - POOF - things were gone that I wasn't working on. Website restored.

Back to Square

April 9, 2025 10:44 pm

I tried to switch the site to Shopify, but after giving it much effort and thought I've reactivated the Square store and gave up on Shopify. The backend interface is confusing, I couldn't figure out how to setup certain things on the online store, and I just didn't like it. Shopify is too expensive anyway. If Craftylishus Jewelry was was raking in the big bux maybe I'd consider Shopify, but alas, it is not.

I suppose now is a good time to say that Craftylishus Jewelry's online store accepts payment via Cash App and Afterpay!

For more info on Afterpay click here. (And FWIW, Block owns Square, Cash App, and Afterpay, so at this point I guess it is what it is. Block is the Walmart-Amazon of online payments. Sigh.)

Store is closed for the time being

April 8, 2025 9:11 pm

The online store is closed for administrative reasons but will either reopen or move to a new platform ASAP. I will keep you posted here. I am still very much open for business, though. If you'd like something custom-made or if you'd like to get something I have already made, ready-to-ship, contact me via the contact form or social media and I will get back to you ASAP!!

Nope

Yeah, that wasn’t it.

A woman on a mission!

April 1, 2025 1:12 pm

A while back I wandered into a jewelry supply store that had a huge cache of gold and silver findings but I forgot where it was. I am headed to a place now to see if it’s the one. Wish me luck.

Inventory and shop update pending

March 27, 2025 11:05 pm

Inventory. I hate it, you hate it, everyone hates it. But, we have to do it. I do have alot of stuff already on the online shop, but I also have a bunch of stuff made that I need to photograph and list for sale. So, stay tuned. Thank you for your patience while I update the shop and continue to work on this new website! Luv u.

Why?

I love a good source of jewelry findings, materials, beads/stones, etc. As you may or may not already know I reside in beautiful Dallas, TX. Once upon a time we had bead shops galore. My 2 favorite places, May's Beads & Beads Unlimited have closed, and now Joann is closing.

While I don't find Joann to be a great source for natural stones, I do like them for storage options, findings/materials, and the odd sale. Joann is going out of business, and everything is on sale. I have been in need of more necklace boxes, but they've proven elusive. I guess they're in short supply and everything is getting snatched up when restocked. I finally found 1 lonely, solitary package of boxes in Plano of all places. The cashier who checked me out barely said 2 words to me, and seemed like he was just done. He came across as being 1 bad interaction from burning the place down. He seemed unhappy. I imagine the closures impact team morale, and I can't help but wonder if Joann was always like that. I don't think so, as this type of encounter was a first for me at Joann.

As for bead shopping, May's and Beads Unlimited were the absolute best, with huge selections, rare finds, and steep markdowns. May's moved to Houston. If I ever get another car I'll have to make a trip. It'd be worth it. We still have some bead shops here, but nothing like May's. I am just 1 person. I'm making jewelry from home. I am definitely not a big Corporate Conglomerate ™ with huge wholesale buying contracts at Acme Jewelry Supply Co. I don't think I'd like that anyway. I like going to my favorite bead shops and feeling and seeing all the things.

Yaaasssss.
